This is the fourth largest brewery in New York State, and is a great place to visit. Mendocino Brewing Company has been producing the highest quality, fresh, traditional, all-malt craft-brews since 1983. Olde Saratoga Brewing is the sole brewery for Kingfisher in the Northeast United States, celebrating over 150 years of brewing.

The Olde Saratoga Brewing Company is the wholly owned subsidiary of Mendocino Brewing in Ukiah, California, and has been bringing you the best of the best lagers and ales since 1997. Brewing five legendary ales, Mendocino Brewing was established in 1983 as the first brew pub in California, and the second in the USA. Olde Saratoga Brewing Company now brews, bottles and kegs these famous ales for the entire East Coast.

In 2001, Olde Saratoga began brewing Kingfisher Premium Lager for the USA, joining three other countries worldwide who brew Kingfisher. Kingfisher Premium Lager is enjoyed in over 55 countries and is the world’s #1 selling Indian beer.

Your favorite Beer of the Month Club is taking this opportunity to present the top two brews from Olde Saratoga Brewery. We are confident you’ll have trouble choosing which is your favorite.

Saratoga Lager is a German/Austrian style Marzenbier, a reddish coppery color with a full malt character. It’s slightly sweet on the palate, with a lightly hopped finish. It is brewed in the grand tradition of the Vienna lagers of Austria and the Marzenbiers of Munich. Smooth, medium-bodied with an intriguing balance between light, soft bitterness and refreshing sweetness.

Their newest addition, Saratoga India Pale Ale has a full citrus flavor thanks to Fuggles and Cascade hops, along with a generous amount of bold Munich malt. It ads up to full balanced flavor and a refreshingly crisp, clean, delicious brew.

IPA – Olde Saratoga Brewery’s IPA – With Cascade and Fuggles hops, how could this brew miss? Refreshingly strong, this brew needs an equally strong menu of peppery cheeses, poultry, shellfish, sausages or any spicy dishes. It’s perfect with apple pie!

LAGER – Olde Saratoga Brewery’s Saratoga Lager – This month’s bottom-fermented brew, lagers are aged for several months at very cold temperatures, which gives them a smooth, refined, complex taste. (The word “lager” means “to store.”) Best served cold, straight from the cooler, at 40- 45 degrees F., with fish, pork, poultry, or cheeses such as Havarti, Swiss or Gouda.
